During the month of July, some Newhotel clients in Portugal and Peru were awarded.
On July 4th, the city of Porto hosted the 19th edition of the Portugal Travel Awards by Publituris. Annually, the Publituris newspaper organizes two events to celebrate excellence in tourism in Portugal: the Portugal Trade Awards (where Newhotel won the Best Hotel Management Software (PMS) Company Award in 2023) and the Portugal Travel Awards.
This prestigious award recognizes excellence in the Portuguese hotel sector. The 177 nominees were selected by the editorial team based on several indicators, such as the work done in 2023, innovation capacity, media visibility, and both national and international distinctions, among others.
In this edition, several clients of Newhotel Software were awarded in four distinct categories:
Best Five-Star Hotel: Torel Avantgarde
Best MICE Hotel: Meliá Ria Hotel & Spa
Best Wine Tourism: Torre de Palma Wine Hotel
Best Golf Course: Oitavos Dunes – Cascais
But it wasn’t just in Portugal that Newhotel clients were awarded. In Peru, Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado was named the Best Hotel in Peru 2024 at the prestigious World Travel Awards. These awards are considered the “Oscars of Tourism,” the most coveted and celebrated in the global tourism industry.
Additionally, the Casa Andina hotel chain received the eCommerce Peru 2024 Award in the Travel and Tourism category, which rewards the best online platforms in the country. Recently, the group launched a new, modern, and innovative website designed to boost bookings through this digital channel.
